Boss Bytch Music

Above pictures are only some of the first photos you'll find image googling "boss bitch"

There's various reasons why this blog is dead as fuck. Mostly it's because I'm writing about Bay rap over at Bayonnaise now and can't be bothered with more than one blog project. Also it's in Swedish, which as it turns out I have more fun writing so that's what I'm doing. I'm not gonna put this blog down though since I still get hella hits from google searches and every now and than someone seems to appreciate the finds. And I might wanna write about shit every now and than that isn't Bay Area rap. If I had more time I would dedicate one blog to the Slow Motion Sounds/Bama movement (which is proving more amazing everytime they drop something). I would dedicate a site to all the dope shit coming out of Baton Rouge right now (the scene is way bigger Lil Boosie/Trill Ent). I would deicate a site to the Dallas rap scene, which is fucking poppin right now with DCC as the leading element.

Anyways, lately I've been listening to hella female rappers. I guess there's different reasons to that, but mostly is because I never don't listen to whatever da fuck I feel like. I'm not gonna listen to a fucking Drake album because his popular, I don't listen to fucking elevator music because bloggers says it's spiritual. And these women rappers make banging music that is better than whatever most artists put out. I listen to great motherfucking rap music, period.

Some of them aren't quite polished as artists, but they show hella talent. And part of why I choose to put the artists on this compilation on there is because these are some the female rappers I'm most anxious about hearing more of in the future. I believe the common nominator that links these artists together is that they are female rappers that have yet to record and drop their best material. I believe their prime are ahead of them.

I hope I'm right.

These songs are not necessarily these artists biggest hits, or even best work. I haven't heard the majority of any of these artists discography so I couldn't tell. They're just songs I like.

Memphis Gangster P. Moses.

Juicemane's Boss Bytch Music Compilation

1. Lady - New Bitch (Florida)
2. Rasheeda - Boss Bitch Swagg (Atlanta, GA)
3. P. Moses - DISAINTWHUTUWANT (Ft Project Pat) (Memphis, TN)
4. XO - Club Hoppa (Longview, TX)
5. Miss B - Badd (Ft Rasheeda & Gangsta Boo) (Atlanta, GA)
6. Tam-Tam - U Bop N (Ft 6 Tre G) (Huntsville, AL)
7. DefinitonDJ ButchaBoie - Pretty N Da Face (feat. BlaqDior, XO & Snow White The Product) (Dallas, TX)
8. Lil Boosie & Lola Monroe - 5 Star Chick (Washington DC/Ethiopia)
9. Lil Ke-Ke Baby - Dream Girl (Florida)
10. CoCo Kiss - Camel Toe (Atlanta, GA)
11. Kreayshawn - Bumpin Bumpin (Oakland, CA)
12. Jessica Rabbit - Girl (Bay Area, CA)
13. The Bangz - Hard In The Paint (LA, CA)
14. Bella Donz - Bang It (LA, CA)
15. Pink Dollaz - I'm Tasty (LA, CA)
16. Asia Lynn - Played Like Gameboy (Ft C-Smoove of Cali Swag District) (LA, CA)
17. Asia Lynn - Take Me Out (Ft YT) (LA, CA)

I was gonna say something about each song, but I figuered I never been good at that. So instead I just wrote out where I think they're from. That's something. The compilation isn't at all mixed or whatever. There's mixtape DJ's hollering over some of these songs, I hate them too. The comp starts off with some southern rap, there's some bay rap in the middle, and finishes with some jerkin songs. It's banging, it's Boss Bitch Music, fuckin get with it.

Roach Gigz (of B.I.G.) NEW MIXTAPE

Roach Gigz - Respect It from Aris Jerome on Vimeo.

Just a maffakin wydu re-post. No reason this can't be up here aswell. Yall already know how I feel about Roach Gigz.... This is his most cohesive mixtape yet, I feel free to say so as I know have been bumping it for several days or months... The most banging is still the B.I.G. tape called Mango-something, which dropped before christmas some years ago.. But nothing has been so well mixed and what not as an album as Roachy Balboa..

And these old ass tracks are still my favorite Roach Gigz, so they belong in the post.

Bitch I Go - On Arrythang

Bitch I Go - Mango

Now, below is the brand new mixtape. And after that there's some of his videos, which I sincerley recommend you to watch, all directed by the very talented Aris Jerome. Also, make sure you'll check out the brand new interview with Roach Gigz by my pals over at Southern Hospitality.

Young Money connections.

LIL ZA! THE YOUNGEST BALLA OF THEM ALL!

This entire post comes from me looking around the Young Money site for the first time and getting suprised by what I found. So I decided to write a bullshit post and share some random songs I thought of while strolling around the home site of this young southern rap crew.

I've been slow on getting up on the rise of Young Money and what that might mean, only a few years ago (maybe even last year) they where nothing but sparring partners for Lil Wayne. Only YM rapper I remember from those days is Currensy. That doesn't really matter though, because now, as I just realized, they're kinda big. Even commercially, they might be on television and radio in Sweden soon, and I'd be damned if my friends lil sisters could name more rappers in a southern rap crew than I can. It almost happend before.

As I looked thru the list of the 25 latest Young Money songs free for download I to my suprise noticed there was a remix with Lil Chuckee of a song by party-bounce duo Da Block Burnaz.

Da Block Burnaz - Late Night (Remix Ft Lil Chuckee)

These guys dropped this album in 2004:

...and on that album they had a really dope song which also made this classic compilation hosted by bounce producer hero Peacachoo:

Audio:

Da Block Burnaz - Work That Thing Ft Magnolia Chop

Gotty Boy Chris - She Make Me (Laard)(Prod Peacachoo)

That's the New Orleans connection I didn't know about. But that sorta made sense, Lil Wayne and all those Squad Up members (Gudda Gudda had a great mixtape this year) aswell as Lil Chuckee are New Orleans natives. What I had no clue about was that Young Money has ties to my 2007 summer hero Lil Za. I didn't even know he was old enough for Young Money yet. He has been around for a while, he and his crew B.O.C. They're from Dallas or some smaller town somewhere in east Texas. Apparently Lil Za is in a group called Young Hot Boyz with Lil Chuckee and texan Lil Twist, whom I only heard of before thru Lil Za's tweets. Young Hoy Boyz. What you think about that? I think it could be great, I wouldn't say it's Young Moneys biggest hope, but still, the idea of a teen version of the Hot Boyz irrationally makes me hope they will make music as good as the original Hot Boyz did when they where teenagers.

Young Hot Boyz - Have You Seen Her

If I have to decide I'd say I liked Lil Za better when he did swanging music, or maybe that's just how I labled him as an artists and I'm unable to appreciate the progress he has made. This is how awesome he used to sound when he was like seven or eight years old

i'm lil za, you won't believe i'm only eight
playin ps2, and man 2000 tre
no pants no play*
yes it's in stores
watch so many screens like that's my chores
screens on my floor, shoes air force ones
if it aint that, it's air jordans
lil za and dsr represent yo click
youngest balla of them all so my pockets thick

*i might have missheard that one, the line doesn't really make sense to me.

Lil Za - Raindrops Ft Tum Tum & Fat Bastard

It's swanging, Fat Beezy is on it, fuckin get with it.
And that's it.

Bonus audio:

Lil Za - Only Can Be Me

B.O.C. - Fuck All of Yall Ft Z-Ro

Oh, almost forgot. As I'm writing this Lil Za is tweeting more or less every minute to let us know his mixtape drops really really soon, like within hours. So get on his twitter!

Sirealz of Teamknoc First (?) mixtape..

From what I know this is the first solo project from Sirealz or Tib from Teamknoc. It's been hecka long since I've seen any mixtape from them, like one entire year or something, wow. I bumped it a couple of times, back and forth from uni, since he dropped it on his twitter and datpiff yesteday.. Couple of songs does sound a bit different from what I remember the Teamknoc mixtapes sounding like, but that's cool, because it isn't a Teamknoc mixtape.. Anyhow, here's the full mixtape, his own link. And my first listen stand outs:

Tracklisting above on the back cover.. Standouts:

Sirealz says it's okay to be different. This sounds like the sort of song Swedish self esteem focusing party-televison psyhologist Mia Törnblom would make if she had the will or talent to be a based rapper. Still very dope..

Mia Törnblom

Still very dope.. A couple of months ago I somehow managed to get a hold of some mp3's of a few Sirealz and Teamknoc songs that may or may not be recent. I'm pretty sure most of these songs aren't on any other release. Might be one or two from their 2008 mixtape with previously unreleased songs.. But some songs are definitely new, and not on this mixtape.. So I decided to share those songs... Since I didn't know what release they were on back when I downloaded them first I decided to call the group of songs Sirealz Juice 2009 and Teamknoc Juice 2009

Music.

1. Dumbass Clean Ft Blapstar (This is dope, should have def been on Shooting Stars if you ask me)
2. Tight Ass Jeans (dope!!)
3. Cupcake Music
4. Cool White People (right this is on Shooting Stars)
5. Please Don't Let Me Go (autotune)
6. Four 15's (not same version as the one on Shooting Stars)

1. Drums And Based
2. Im A Gigger
3. Im A Party
4. Day N Nite (Remix) Left N Right
5. Everyday Ft Gotti
6. Fat Guy In Little Coat
7. Cakey Booty Blapstar (Frosty Pooky Volume 1) (this is probaly old)

Somewhy started talking about these guys again, oh yeah I just came back from a friend who earlier this week found a sort of scraper bike just lying around somewhere.. Can't believe it's been two years since this was my summer soundtrack. Anyhow had to hear the song again, and yall should listen too and remember that summer..

And here's the mp3, in case some of you been sleeping..

These kids got swag.

Fuckin A.

A while back somewhy Lil Trez from Young Trill Ent. (Y.T.E.) out of Little Rock, Arkansas added me on facebook and we been hollerin a bit. The other day he let me know they got a mixtape comin out soon.. So I looked thru my itunes to re-listen the two tracks I downloaded from somewhere on his facebook back then.. All I can say is I will definatley enjoy their mixtape when it drops. These kids, they sound hella raw and show potential. I don't know what plans Baton Rouge label Trill Ent. got for these kids but hopefully they get them plenty studio time, quality beats and career advise and such to get some more music out there..

I'm not super sure what names the four group members go by, and it's not super easy to figure out. But I remember seeing a video suggesting it's Lil Trez who has the first verse on I Den Came Down, Young Swag has the second, Marcino has the third. And I think the fourth member is calle Kane. Not sure I ever heard Kane rap though, so I guess he's the beat maker.. Right.

It's from Dallas. Got a slowed down hook. An Archie Lee mention. Fat Bastard is on there. Fuckin get with it.

Notice there's a Halle Berry remix on there.

1. Ice Cream Paint Job

My Car Real Smelly

I've been listening to Crazy Duce's 2007 mixtape Anger Management like three times in a row now, or actually those parts of the mixtape datpiff shared for download... He's now the best rapper, but damn this shit sounds dirty and unfinished, unpolished in that good way you just can't manufacture. It sounds real and fucking hard.

The whole tape is filled with rawness. And the absoloute peak is what might be the rawest track ever:

Check the tape out, it's on datpiff. It's East Texas and it's raw, get with it.
Peace to dude over at cb's forum who first made me aware of this.

My Parents Hardrive Stay Gansta.

gets dissed

Looking thru my parents computer. Turns out I'd listend to pretty much the same music when I was a kid (or young teen) as I do now, or atleast the old napster-downloaded tracks on my parents harddrive suggests so... There's some jams on here!

So here's some throwbacks, jams I pretty much forgotten all about till right now, maybe some of you has aswell. Check them out.

Classic 3/6. The first track's title pretty much sums the song up well, as any title of a song should. Shit I remember dowloading it just to see if it was for real. And La Chat or Gangsta Boo is on there...

Random Weezy, from 500 Degreez I think. And the techa nino, god damn this is one of those diss tracks who leaves you a little bit shook just listening to it.

I was more or less obsessed with these three tracks back in, eh 2001-2002 I guess, reasons to the obsessions is intense dopeness. By the way does anybody know who other than PT raps on this song?

Shit I could post 10 more tracks... Mistress by Word&Punch just shuffled it's way into my ears. Another day another post...

Rollin Rollin Rollin We Ain't Slept In Weeks

Damn!
The Block Beataz is really doing it. I checked out a couple of more Slow Motion Soundz releases, like this Jackie Chain mixtape from this year. And a Jhi Ali mixtape from last year. This song might just be the tytest I heard all year! Just listen.

From Jackie Chain's 2008 mixtape, pic above.. I don't really know how to split the track up in two indivdual songs, so just deal with the slash (back-slash?)

And here's the verison I found of last years Jhi Ali mixtape. I don't know why the don't let the tracks just be their own mp3s, another slash.

And the Diplo remix off the Hunts Vegas tape.

I really don't know which mix I like the best. I'm feeling the one with Attitude and Rich Boy right now, it's a bit rawer, no lady singing sample, less remixed really.

Speaking of Attitude, if you get ahold of it, or if I decide to upload it, give his 1997 record a listen. It's whortwhile.

It's hella hot and I have to wait like an hour before the wine gets cold enough to drink

Damn, it's by law forbidden to sell cold alcohol beverages in damn country. People might drink their wine right outside the licker store and get all stumbling, takin pisses right on the street and fall over and what have you, if the wine was cold when they bought. So Uncle Göran, the Swedish Sam, decided all of us thirsty fuckers just have to wait till we get home and have time to put our beverages in the freezer...
So what does one do waiting for the got damn drink to get cold. Listen to random mp3's of course. It's way to warm to be outside, one might think. Mostly I just got bored sitting around in the sun all day, so I'm stuck in here by the computer. Even bored enough to start write some sort of blog, without really having anything to say. However, if you'll ever find yourself in this situations, some of this tunes might help you.

Just pretend this song isn't about love or something Celine Dion'ish like that, pretend it's actually about a brew. A cold weissbeer perhaps. You see? It fits in way better. He even starts off like this:

Somehow the thought of you makes me cold inside
at times there are feelings that I just can't hide
feelings inside, that can not be explained
each moment with you
seems to heal the pain!

This just sounds good. Anytime.

This is new. And sounds good.
Wine is cold now, so I won't write anything more. Maybe after I drunk that bottle. Anyways, I'm in a rush off to eat some cancer.

Livin in the bay is like a motherfuccin Zoo..

...not that I would know. Young Cellski told me. Frisco ain't all faggots and quakes as some may think, it's some gutter shit going on there. All according to Young Cellski and a couple of other fellas I've taken my time to listen to latley.

Bay area rap has own style. No doubt.. See as a youngsta I neva knew nathan bout different sounds and such, till I heard Digital Underground. Nothing like anything I've ever heard. I read up about it, an actual book. This was before my parents copped our first computer so I didn't knew google. Us mid 80's babies gotta be the youngest of those still remembering a life without daily internet use and celluar phones. Alsp Spice 1 told us about celluar phones tough, apparently if you was coolin on the corner with them you obviously was from the East Bay. I trusted him on that.

Back to the book, it was in English and was about hip hop history. Maybe 20 of the 250 pages was about the yay, not that much. So I still didn't know much about the region and it's music. Many of it's bigger artists was pretty much unkown to me for a long time. I've been meaning to change that for a while and this year I've finally begun.

One more thing about the book tough, just a lil side note. I did a report in it in my English class. I remember my teacher saying he understood the concept of producing rap records, there was money to be made. Altough he didn't understand why anyone would listen to it. After that he pretty much told me all rap listeners was retards. Thinking of that prick still upsets me. I mean the man was all grey, clothes, skin color the whole thing grey. I bet he listens to german country music or something

Anyhoo, for a couple of months I almost only been bumping bay area bangers, both cathcing up on supposed classics I never heard and listening to anything new I could get. I just made a quick tracklist of some of the songs I've come across. So here you go, quite a mix, not really cohesive. But fuck it it's bangers enjoy folks! Some hyphy I guess, some gangsta and a lil bit of consciousness... And some quick words on the feelings each track gives me.

Bay Area

1. Young D Boyz - Sellin Cocaine As Usual
From '95. From their album Straight Game, which is a great record! Sad story, telling the story of the every day life for some bay area residents. Great feeling.

2. Young Cellski - Livin N The Bay
Pretty much the same topic as the first track. This is mostly on here cause I LOVE the wistle beat! It's freakin amazing! And I have no idea who did it! Lemme know if you know!

3. The Click - Let's Get Drunk
Hahaa.. Have me laughing every time. Gotta be my favourite ever drinking song, covers every aspect of it. The dizzynes, mumbling n stimbling. Being hangover, horney. Hella drank!

4. Conscious Daughters - Showdown
Beat is of the hook! Paris at his best! Hardcore g-funk baby.

5. Messy Marv - Ghetto Blues
From his debut record Messy Situations. Nowdays he's a top 10 rapper in my book. Back then, not quite there but still full with talent.

6. Mac Dre - Mafioso ft. Yoing Dru
I love me some Mac Dre every now and then. This is one of my favourites, or atleast top 10. Nah, top 20. He's like an whole own genre, I could make the whole list just Mac Dre actually, I might next time. But this time I thougt it be a good idea not to include too many records from the same artist, it feel strange to leave some artist out and uploading several tracks from another..

7. Rappin 4 Tay - Live From The 415 ft. Sann Quinn, Messy Marv, Big Rich & Seff Tha Gaffla
From 2007. Rappin dropped a decent album earlier this year, it had some bangers no doubt. Not as good as in his prime. But whatever really it got a Messy Marv verse so you know it's good. Verses in order of dopeness: Mess, Sann Quinn, 4'tay, SDG, Rich.

8. Husalah - Husalah Shine
I've listen to he's latest releas like 50 time by now. There's gotta be like 3 or 5 tracks that will be on my top 50 list of this year. This one is mos def one of them. It's on there for it's realness, and for his flow. It's just viscious.

9. Team Knoc - From The Hood remix Thizzface
I dl'd a whole bunch of Team Knoc from nation of thizzlam. And I'm really starting to like it. It's a form of hyphy they themself call base, if I'm not mistaken. Usally they rap about video games and cloths and stuff but this track is kinda hard. A bit o a jam really.

10. The Pack - Robocop
Simple rap muisc. I really like the beat and the hook, the powerfull feeling to it. I can't say I listen to this for the lyrics tough. Don't even remember what this track is about... Young L does the beat.

11. Keak Da Sneak - Somebody Gotta Pimp It ft. Too Short
This track is a couple of years old. The title really says it all, no need to explain what this track is about. The verses explains why. Some dudes just don't get a whole lotta women, that's why they do it. Somebody gotta be the pimp. Far from hyphy or anything like that, just a typical mid ninties west coast gangssta beat.

12. Traxmillion - From The Hood ft. Husalah, The Jacka & Sann Quinn
These rappers flow is just vicious. Husalah is the badest. Just kills every beat. Powerfull production.

You'll see more of me soon. On this site or another.. Enjoy!

New contributor, new post

Yesterday I asked my friend Hugo the Dude if it would be alright with him for me to write a little bit here every now and then. Needles to say, he welcomed me with open arms!

Altough I'm a bit of a HipHop fan (Cunninlynguists, Wordsworth, Gangstarr etc.), I'm more into pop/rock and singer/songwriter kind of music. So for me it's sort of a perfect week to start writing here since two of my favourites are releasing new albums on wednesday 26/9: Jose Gonzalez and Iron and Wine.
Jose the bigger star despite the fact he has only one studio album released, the massive hit "Veneer", and Iron and Wines "The Sheperds Dog" becoming his fitfh since the very mellow and beautiful debut "The Creek Drank the Cradle.

After buying at least Joses "In our Nature" I'll post a review for you to read.
Until then you might want to check out Elliott Smith, Jack Johnson, The Shins and one of my alltime fovourite albums, Rolling Stones "Beggars Banquet"!

Buy it and support the artists!
Listen now!
Jose Gonzalez at Myspace where you can listen to "In our Nature"

Peace
Fredrik
